030607VSBM139This workshop is for people who have completed an introductory course in Deep Tissue Massage.

The main focus of this seminar is the presentation of advanced techniques and assessment strategies for working with the shoulder girdle and the neck.The basic concepts and strokes for addressing these body parts will be reviewed and refined. Exercises will be taught that are designed to deepen the understanding of the shoulder / neck area.

His qualifications include certifications in Advanced Rolfing®, The Trager® Approach and the Dorn® Chiropractic Method as well as a diploma in Naturopathy. As co-founder of the Institute of Bodywork he developed a two year training program in deep tissue bodywork. He has taught Joint Release workshops to various professional groups including naturopaths, midwives and massage therapists. Amaro has taught at the Vancouver School of Bodywork & Massage since its inception and is widely regarded among both staff and alumni as the “wise man” of VSBM.

Cancellation Policy

Tuition is fully refundable until one week prior to the course at which point no refunds will be made. If a student is unable to attend for any reason, payment received will be kept on file as a credit and can be used for any other VSBM program or course within one year.
